I took my M.Sc. degree in Medical Biotechnologies in 2015 at the University of Brescia defending a thesis on “A study on the possibility of encasing genetic material into Extracellular Vesicles”. I’m now attending my 2nd year of Ph.D in Tech. for Health at Biochemistry Lab. tutored by Prof. Bergese.
Sara’s research field is: Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nanoenvelopes stuffed with RNA and peptides which represent a mode of intercellular communication. EVs started to be considered as functional nano-carriers for drug delivery. The aim of my Thesis can be framed in the international effort to develop EV nanotechnology.
