As a new PhD student there are some things you MUST do before starting your new adventure.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>After you received your institutional e-mail address (e.g. n.surname123@unibs.it) you should make a few clicks and keystrokes to get all the things started:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create an account on the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/loginmiur.cineca.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MUR website<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(Italian Ministry of University and Research). Once your registration is completed, click on the ORCID button on the left side of\u00a0 the website and follow the instructions to receive a univocal ORCID ID. Then, connect your ORCID ID with your MUR account;<\/li>\n<li>Create a public profile on\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Scholar<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong> to allow an automatically updated publication list. Do not forget to select \u201cmake my profile public\u201d;<\/li>\n<li>Once you have filled it all in, send your representatives <strong>a few lines about your educational background<\/strong> so that they can create your personal <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tech4health.unibs.it\/index.php\/people\/students\/\">PhD student page<\/a><\/strong> within this website and also, if you like, share your <strong>LinkedIn<\/strong> link and start following the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/phd-technology-for-health-%E2%80%8C%E2%80%8C-6a57052ba\/\">PhD \u2022 Technology for Health<\/a><\/strong> \u200c\u200cso that you are always up-to-date on events and announcements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">FINISH!<\/h3>\n<p>The boring stuff is over, now enjoy your PhD activity and publish, print, disseminate and remember that <em>&#8220;Research is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0(Albert Szent-Gyorgyi)<\/p>\n<p>We leave here <strong>links<\/strong> that may be <strong>useful<\/strong> to you during your PhD career.
