BIO
Ileana was born in 1993. She studied Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, where she obtained the Bachelor Degree in 2017 and the Master Degree in 2019. The aim of her Master thesis was to design and develop a perfusion bioreactor for electrical stimulation of bone tissue constructs.
RESEARCH FIELD
Simultaneous electrical stimulation and monitoring of the function and structure of developing in vitro cell culture remains a highly challenging field of research.The developed device will improve the understanding of the physiological response of living cells grown in culture.
