Our XXIV cycle PhD student Giorgio Cassiolas was awarded – together with Lorenzo Pietro Coppadoro and Matteo Sposito (Polytechnic University of Milan), Canberk Sözer (Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies), Martina Mancinelli (Marche Polytechnic University), and Elena De Vita (University of Naples Parthenope) – the Italian Bioengineering Society Best Pitch Award for the business idea “Genometrics” presented in the Pitch Contest held during the XXXVIII Annual School “Advanced bioengineering methods, technologies and tools in surgery and therapy”.

Students were awarded for their dedication, passion and hard work in hypothesizing the realization of a secure authentication system based on individual genetic characteristics.
